Another very satisfactory performance that was well received by all in attendance. Bay had gained promotion last term but with the Manager going to Chester and the bulk of the players also leaving then new Manager Dave Challinor had three trialists in his starting line-up.

Albion took the lead in the 8th minute after Pete Heler received a peach of a pass out wide on the right, he duly crossed perfectly into the path of Andy Kinsey who produced a header powerful enough to evade Chris Sanna's vain attempt to save.

At the other end Matt Cooper produced a great double save in the 25th minute to keep the Seagulls at bay!

A Dean Canning shot in the 65th minute unfortunately struck a fellow player and was deflected narrowly wide of the right post. The wholesale change to personnel however saw Albion lose numbers in the midfield area and when the substitute keeper's 77th minute attempted clearance was quickly played back half-time substitute John Newby produced the clinical of finishes.

Two of Albion's own substitutes had attempts with Josh Hancock's shot held comfortable low down by Sanna whilst Chris Smith had the legs on the central defenders but saw his shot whistle past the far right upright.
