Management Team

Manager: Paul Ogden

Paul Ogden is a vastly experienced non-league manager, having managed local rivals Leek Town (on five separate occasions), Kidsgrove Athletic and neighbours Northwich Victoria. He was appointed Witton Albion manager in May 2010, taking over from Gary Finley who departed at the end of the 2009/10 season.

Having previously turned down the chance to manage Albion five years ago, Ogden described his decision not to take the job as having been a "mistake" and that he had high regard for one of the 'names' in non-league football. With extensive contacts within non-league football Paul is well respected by players and officials throughout the local game.

Ogden's appointment at Witton Albion followed an extensive restructure of the club's footballing activities, which include a new Reserve Team playing in the Lancashire League and the future development of a Youth Team, in addition to a formal relationship with Mid Cheshire College's Football Development Programme. Paul will take overall responsibility for the club's footballing activities.

Paul's management team includes Dave Macpherson and Brian Pritchard

Player/Coach: Dave Macpherson

Dave Macpherson was a fan's favourite during his previous spell at Wincham Park and returns to the club following spells with Stafford Rangers, Leek Town and Nantwich Town during his two seasons away. He is currently taking his coaching badges and this is his first step into football management.

Brian Pritchard

Brian Pritchard needs no introduction, the Albion stalwart steps up to the management team and will continue to add to his 700+ appearances as a central defender. Brian's unrivaled knowledge of the club has been gained over fourteen seasons at Wincham Park and he is a natural leader on and off the pitch.

Reserves Team Manager: Tony Ennion

Tony is another to rejoin Witton Albion in his previously held role of Reserves Team Manager. Tony has worked with Northwich Victoria, Ashton United and Winsford United (where most recently he was assistant manager to Terry Murphy). Witton Albion Reserves will play in the Lancashire League from the 2010/11 season and will be a vital part of the development of new players and for players returning to fitness following injury.

Youth Team Manager: Dave Lockett

Already a familiar face to the club, Dave Lockett has been a key part of the successful 'Witton Albion Juniors' scheme and he will now work alongside Tony Ennion in the development of a new Youth Team to play competitively from the 2011/12 season.

Chief Scout: Terry Murphy

The former Middlewich Town manager Terry Murphy is another with vast experience of the local game. In addition to his experience managing local football teams Terry has recently been scouting for Crewe Alexandra and Aston Villa football club. Terry is a hugely popular character and has a proven ability to 'spot a player'!
